Mental Reminder

Whether you want to start building healthy habits or just remember to do the dishes in half an hour, we got your back. For all the things that slips through the cracks, Mental Reminder is here for you.

This is a student project for CSCI 436/536 - Technology for Social Good - Winter 2021, at Western Washington University. Advised by Dr. Shameem Ahmed.

All the little things -
all in one place

No more "oh sh*t!" moments where you realize you forgot to do the dishes or finish that homework assignment - let us take everything that's cluttering your mind and organize it for you. Live stress free and focus on what really matters.

Keep it simple

Mental Reminder's simple feature set and intuitive gestures means no more fighting the UI to do something as simple as reminding yourself to stretch. Our app is minimal by design - which sets us apart from all the other complicated competitors on the market.

Schedule it and forget it

For those trying to build a habit, we offer the option to set recurring reminders. These will trigger the same time on the days you want it to, making it easier than ever to build strong habits without making it a big deal.

More features

Type less with our preset reminders

Like all other ICT solutions on the market, Mental Reminder allows you to set, edit, and delete reminders. What sets us apart is the option to use preset reminders and gestures to rapidly create reminders. No more scrambling and typing at a cluttered UI - reminders can be set with one hand under less than 5 seconds.

Mental health resources at your fingertips

Our app is designed with your mental health in mind. From our friendly UI to our general design principles, we want to provide a friction-free experience from start to finish.

For those who are struggling, we've included a list of mental health resources, all in one place for quick reference.

No more "did I do that?"

If you've ever taken your medicine and asked yourself "Did I actually take my medicine this morning?" - well, you don't have to worry about it anymore. We'll keep a log of all the reminders you've done.

And before you ask, all the data is stored locally. We don't even have a database, so there's no concern of privacy or spying - your reminders are yours alone.
